1080p HD DLP Projector – Only $4,000!

Runco, a company that manufactures serious high-end projectors, has launched a lower-end model to reach more consumers. Runco high-end projectors typically start at $4995, go up to tens of thousands of dollars, and are found in the homes of celebrities and movie directors.

The Runco LightStyle LS-1 DLP projector lists for MSRP of $3995. It is a single-chip DLP (Digital Light Processing) projector that provides a 1080p high-definition picture. The projector combines Runco’s SuperOnyx technology with ConstantContrast and ViVix proprietary digital video processing to deliver deep black levels and significant contrast at well above 10,000:1 contrast ratio. It also incorporates the ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) calibration suite to run tools which include day and night calibration memory, sharpness and noise reduction controls, programmable image memory selection keys, built-in test patterns and a darkroom-optimized remote.

Runco’s CineGlide lens solution enables a motorized mechanical 2.35:1 anamorphic lens to move in front of the standard lens for perfect Scope reproduction. It also gives the LS-1 the ability to switch from 16:9 content to 2.35:1 content, without black bars on top or side of the image, at the touch of a button.

There are many customizable features in the LS-1 that aren’t found in many projectors in this price range – these tools and options lift the projector to the top of the features list for home projection systems. It is an ideal option for homeowners wanting a high performance option for watching TV, movies, console gaming, internet browsing and streaming video and movies with top of the line color depth and picture quality. The LS-1 will be available at Runco dealers starting August 16th.
