2011 Appliance Ratings – Which Washers, Dryers, Refrigerators, Are Best?

A new survey of customer satisfaction with appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves and ovens has been released.

JD Power and Associates 2011 customer satisfaction survey revealed that Samsung ranked highest in satisfaction when it came to clothes washers. The Samsung clothes washers rated well for ease-of-use, styling and appearance, and price. LG ranked second, and Kenmore Elite came in third place.

Samsung also came in first place when it came to clothes dryers. As with the washers, Samsung was rated well in ease-of-use, styling and appearance, price, and also features. Whirlpool Duet came in second place, and LG in third.

This was the third year in a row that Samsung has rated highest for clothes washers. It’s the fourth year in a row it has been rated highest for clothes dryers.

When it comes to dishwashers, Miele came out on top with the highest customer satisfaction. Miele came out on top in performance and reliability, and warranty. In second was Fisher & Paykel, and in third place was Kenmore Elite.

For cooktops, ranges, and ovens, there was a tie for first place between LG and Wolf . Both came out with the same number of points in the satisfaction survey. GE Monogram came in third.

And for refrigerators, Sub Zero was rated the highest in customer satisfaction. In particular, consumers ranked it well for ease-of-use, styling and appearance, features, performance and reliability, and warranty. Samsung came in second, and LG third.
