The 2015 Honda Crosstour offers owners the feel of an Accord and the utility of a CR-V.

In typical Honda fashion, the Crossover, is available in EX or EX-L trim and either  with a 4 or 6 cylinder engine.

The base 4 cylinder engine is 2.4L, and is paired to a 5-speed automatic transmission.

This set up is said to deliver 192 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. The EPA fuel ratings are 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway or 10.7 and 7.6L/100km.

The 3.5L V6 is good for 278 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. EPA ratings are 20 mpg city and 30 mpg highway or 11.8 and 7.8L/100km.

An EX 2.4 model, the base model, has a starting price of $27,530.00 US.

The list of standard features is extensive. Here are a few of the highlights: 17” alloy wheels, rear view camera with guidelines, every passive safety feature Honda has, Bluetooth, USB/iPod connections and heated side mirrors.

A 4WD system is available, but only on the EX-L V6. It starts at $35,290.00 and if you want Navigation it will cost you $37,390.00 US.

The interior is a versatile space that features 25.7 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats up and an impressive 51.3 seats down.

The seats, enough for 5 passengers, are comfortable and durably built. The passenger space is ample and the layout should allow for easy loading of child seats.

The rear cargo floor has a hidden and removable storage bin, which lifts out with straps and could be used to hold ice and chill beverages, or as a convenient beach toy tote.

Premium options include LaneWatch display, HondaLink featuring Aha compatibility, Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW).

This family friendly Honda will no doubt serve its owners well and, with the Honda reputation for quality, for a long time.
