2015 Nissan Murano – Visually Striking

The exciting 2015 Nissan Murano has finally arrived in showrooms.

The 2015 Murano immediately becomes the most visually striking crossover SUV on the market. It carries forward Nissan’s new design direction and retains many of the elements first seen on the concept.

Speaking about the new Murano, Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President and Chief Planning Officer of Nissan Motor Co., LTD said: “Murano owners live in a environment – home, work and car – that is beautiful, well-designed and efficiently run. They are social and embrace technology. The new Murano had to embrace all of these values, while also taking a major leap forward in terms of its ‘Wow’ factor.”

Giving the Murano its ‘Wow’ factor is the bold V-motion front end, LED boomerang lights and “floating” roof.

The interior is equally exciting. Designed to create a social lounge feel, the Murano has features such as a refined, low instrument panel, wide centre console, NASA-inspired Zero Gravity seats and large windows and Power Panoramic Moonroof.

To satisfy the Murano owner’s craving for high-tech features, it is available with NissanConnect with Navigation and Mobile Apps, eight-inch colour display, eleven-speaker Bose premium audio system and Bluetooth Hand-free Phone System.

The 2015 Murano is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 producing 260 hp that is connected to an advanced Xtronic transmission. It is available in front-wheel drive or Intuitive All-wheel Drive.

Less glamorous, but nonetheless important, the Murano is available with many advanced safety systems including Moving Object Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking. The new Cross Traffic Alert System is very sophisticated and utilizes radar to detect vehicles behind the Murano approaching from either side.

What do you think about the 2015 Nissan Murano? Do you like the bold, new look, or is it too over-the-top?
