The Voice Season 7 Night 3 Blind Auditions Recap: Who Impressed?

It’s night three of the blind auditions on NBC’s Season 7 of The Voice as coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell continue to search for talented artists to join their teams.

Who impressed tonight? Well, let’s recap some of the best blind auditions of the night.

 Jessie Pitts performs “The Story”

18-year old Indie pop artist Jessie Pitts’ performance of “The Story” immediately got coach Gwen to turn her chair within seconds. Jessie showcased her sweet, yet quirky tone as she sang the song in such a pure and angelic way.

Blake also turned around a few seconds after Gwen.

Gwen says, “WOW! I loved your voice. It was like an angel and was so pretty. The way you wiggle your way into little notes, I loved it and you owned the stage. “

Although Pharrell did not turn his chair, he did chime in saying, “The yodeling thing you do is amazing.”

Blake says, “That was my wedding song. Your voice is like a bowl of Lucky Charms with marshmallows only.”

Ultimately, Jessie decides to join Team Gwen!

Blessing Offor “Just The Two of Us”

Blessing Offor, whose inspiring story of learning to rise above his blindness, gave a spellbinding performance of “Just The Two of Us.” Although a tad off-key, Blessing exuded passion, heart, and soul.

By the end of his performance, all four coaches had turned their chairs.

Pharrell says that he knows all about mixing genres and can help him with his soulful vocal and country intentions.

Gwen says, “You have so much personality. You were so confident up there and your tone is so gorgeous.”

Adam says, “You could feel the electricity. It was palpable. Even though you were a half step off, getting involved with people who are passionate about music is what I want and that is precisely what you are.”

Blake says he wants to connect his Nashville roots with Blessing’s Nashville songwriting ventures.

Blessing ends up choosing to join Team Pharrell!

Mia Pfirrman “Unconditionally”

19-year-old Mia Pffirman gave an incredible performance of Katy Perry’s “Unconditionally.” Mia colored the song with beautiful runs and hit some crazy high notes throughout her performance.

All four coaches ended up turning for Mia!

Gwen says that she can’t wait to try a different song on Mia and wants to help her figure out who she is as an artist.

Adam says, “The moments that were really spectacular were world-class spectacular. Even though it does need work, it was still so good that I don’t think it would have been fair for you to have gone home, but you need refinement.

Blake says, “The fact that you were able to do a live performance of that kind of a song was incredible.”

Pharrell says, “You took a lot of chances vocally and you sang like this was your one and only moment.”

Mia ends up choosing to join Team Adam!

Anita Antoinette “Turn Your Lights Down Low”

Season 3 blind audition contestant Anita Antoinette decided to come back and re-audition for Season 7 and we are so glad she did! Anita came back even stronger and gave a brilliant performance of Bob Marley’s “Turn Your Lights Down Low.” Her vocal ability was mesmerizing and she did an excellent job of delivering the lyrics with so much conviction.

Anita not only got a four-chair turn around for her performance, but also got a standing ovation by all the coaches.

Gwen says, “It was so heartfelt. You really owned the song. I loved it and I am a fan.

Adam says, “Your head and heart is in the right place and if you are on my team you will not be going anywhere.”

Pharrell says that he can help Anita in performing her love for music that touches people and just has great messages, as opposed to just the giltz and the glamour.

Blake says that as a country artist he knows all about connecting a lyric to an artist. He continues to explain how he can help Anita learn to make the audience feel the lyric of a song.

Anita ends up choosing to join Team Gwen!

Well that does it for our recap! Who was your favorite performance of the night? We want to know! Leave your thoughts below! Don’t forget that you can purchase all of tonight’s performances via iTunes!
