7 Inch Android Tablet For $149? Yep, For Limited Time

Just yesterday there were no 7 inch Android tablets with a capacitive touchscreen on sale for less than $150… but now there is.

It’s called the MiniTurbo T8 and is built by a company called Idolian. Yeh, we’ve never heard of them either. But a little research finds they are a new company, founded in Idolian-MiniTurbo-T82010, and based out of Newport Beach, CA. Their website is at http://www.Idolian.com. There isn’t a lot of information online about the company, it’s not even on Wikipedia yet. But it does seem to be making a bit of a name for itself with the MiniTurbo T8, quite a few sites are covering it’s launch today.

The tablet itself runs on Android 2.3. It features a 1.2GHZ processor, 512 MB ram, a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen (meaning it responds to a finger touch, rather than a stylus), and 4 GB of onboard storage – with support for a 16GB micro SD. It also supports WiFi, has an HDMI port, and a front facing 2 megapixel camera.

Price wise, the MiniTurbo T8 has a regular price of $179, according to Idolian. But until the end of November it is on sale for $149 through Idolian’s website. A search found no solid reviews of the MiniTurbo T8 (other than what they list on their own website), but there is a company produced video of the tablet at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zGlusRLQLh4#!
