I find it hard to believe that 15 years have passed since the first Toyota Prius was sold in North America.
What was once a novelty, Hybrid technology has become increasingly sought after. Toyota has responded by adding a seventh Hybrid to its model line-up.
Toyota is hoping to garner favour among young adventurers with the addition of the 2016 Rav4 Hybrid. The Rav4 debuted 20 years ago and became popular with younger demographics due to the lower initial cost and lower fuel bill.
The 2016 Rav4 Hybrid builds on that reputation by delivering increased power while also proving better fuel economy.
To further provide consumers with the product they are looking for, Toyota researched the customer feedback and decided to add new features like: more premium materials, an optional 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display in the gauge cluster, an available 7-inch display audio touch screen, leather steering wheel (excluding LE model), revised cup holders designed to accommodate tall mugs with handles, an extra USB added to front and one 12V power outlet added to rear and a better material on the upper door panel and lower dash.
The 2016 RAV4 will feature the North American debut of Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) technology. This optional package offers the added security of pro-active technologies such as automated pre-collision braking, forward collision warning, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, pedestrian pre-collision system, and dynamic radar cruise control.
