After being the ultimate scene stealer in the first Pitch Perfect movie, Adam DeVine will be reprising his role as lovable bad boy Bumper in Pitch Perfect 2, according to a report from Deadline.com.

The cast of Pitch Perfect 2 is starting to come together, with filming set to begin later this month. DeVine is the first male actor that starred in the first movie to confirm his involvement in the sequel.

He will be joined by Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow, who have all confirmed that they will be reprising their roles from the original.

Kay Cannon is once again writing the script for Pitch Perfect 2, and after producing and acting in the first movie, Elizabeth Banks will be directing the sequel, which is scheduled to be released May 15, 2015.

When we last saw Bumper, he was ditching his group, The Treblemakers, to go on tour as a backup singer with John Mayer, so what DeVine’s character is up to now is anyone’s guess.

One possible avenue is some kind of relationship with Wilson’s character, after the two had a flirtatious exchange in the first movie.
