Jason Sudeikis is ready for his follow up to We’re The Millers as a movie’s leading man, and joining him as his leading lady will be Alison Brie in the upcoming comedy Sleeping With Other People.
The movie was first announced last fall with Kirsten Dunst attached to play the lead female role opposite Sudeikis, but due to a scheduling conflict Dunst was forced to drop out, with Brie now being cast in the lead role.
Sudeikis will be playing a womanize who befriends Brie’s character, who’s described as a serial cheater. After forming a friendship, their relationship inevitably blossoms into something more.
In addition to Sudeikis and Brie, Sleeping With Other People will boast a strong supporting cast that includes Adam Scott, Jason Mantzoukas, Natasha Lyonne, and Amanda Peet.
Sleeping With Other People is being written and directed by Leslye Headland, who wrote and made her directorial debut in 2012 with the hilarious Bachelorette, which starred Dunst, Isla Fisher, and Lizzy Caplan, as well as a slew of notable supporting actors.
With an up and coming writer-director and a cast headlined by Sudeikis and Brie, Sleeping With Other People is a raunchy rom-com with a lot of promise. Production for the movie will begin in June in New York City.
