Amazon Extends Free Christmas Shipping Deadline

Amazon shoppers now have a little more time to browse Amazon’s website and order items for Christmas and still get free shipping.

Just minutes ago, Amazon announced a change in their free shipping for delivery by Christmas deadline. They’re now offering free Super Saver Shipping through the last weekend before Christmas. That means that shoppers can choose from millions of items through December 19 and still get them delivered for free by Christmas. There are some restrictions, primarily that only products sold through Amazon’s warehouse qualify, and the total purchase price of these products must be $25 or more.

December 19 is also the deadline for orders with standard shipping to arrive by Christmas. Orders with two-day shipping can be placed up until 8 PM PST on December 21 and arrive by Christmas. Orders placed with one-day shipping can be ordered up to 4:30 PM PST on December 22  for delivery by Christmas day.

Amazon will also be providing Local Express Delivery on Christmas Eve in certain locations. Local Express Delivery provides same-day delivery for eligible items. The express delivery cost for most items is $8.99 plus $.99 per item. The locations and deadlines for same day delivery are: Baltimore, 10:30 AM; Boston, 10:30 AM; Chicago, 7 AM; Indianapolis, 7 AM; Las Vegas, 11 AM; New York City and parts of New Jersey, 10 AM; Philadelphia, 10 AM; Phoenix, 9:30 AM; Seattle, 1 PM; Washington, DC, 10:30 AM.
