Last night’s ‘Talking Dead’ Special lived up to it’s hype, giving fans some concrete information and footage about the upcoming season.

Host Chad Hardwick had showrunner Scott Gimple there to talk about season 5 filming and answer questions and while he didn’t reveal everything, he told us more than we expected.

First and foremost, it was made clear that season 5 will be jammed with a lot more action than previous seasons and a LOT more zombies.

Interviews with the cast and crew emphasized that this season everyone would get a chance to be front and center, which will be great for the fans.

You can watch the full interview with the cast and crew below.

Gimple told us several key pieces of information, starting with his revelation that Beth’s story would be told early on.

Beth was kidnapped in season 4 while her and Darryl were at an old funeral home and has not been seen since, which sent fans into a frenzy as they speculated about her fate.

The prevailing theory is that she was taken by father Gabriel Stokes, a character in the comics who Seth Gilliam is rumored to be playing in season 5 .

Others believe she is a victim of the cannibals at Terminus.

Gimple would not confirm any of the rumors, or even say if she is alive or not, only that fans won’t have to wait long to see what happened to her.

He also spoke about Terminus leader Gareth, who he said is ” a real human… and more in line with Rick than the Governor”.   Fans will get an in-depth look at what makes him tick and see what led him to where he is now.

In addition Gimple teased that Neegan, one of the most vicious characters in the comics, will probbaly appear at some point, but odds are it wont be this season.

In addition to the cast interviews you can also watch a sneak peek of season 5, featuring Carol, Tyreese and Baby Judith below.
