Archeage Releases 9/16, With Early Access 9/12 | What to Expect

With the upcoming release of Archeage in North America, developer XL Games has promised us a new and innovative Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) complete with an unparalleled sandbox element.

For gamers unfamiliar with the MMORPG scene, Archeage is a new free to play (optional ‘Patron’ subscription option) game being developed by XL Games and published by Trion for a North American release.

The game offers players the freedom to do essentially anything they could imagine without overwhelming even the most timid of gamers. From its 120 possible classes to its extensive crafting system unlike any MMORPG prior, Archeage has a nearly endless supply of content to keep the masses entertained.

More casual gamers can also find hundreds of hours of enjoyment in the ‘East vs. West’ theme park gameplay that we have all grown accustomed to along with an updated ‘tab-to-lock’ combat system that is easy to learn, but requires skill to master.

However, for the more hardcore gamers, Archeage offers players the chance to branch off from the norm and engage in either the Player vs. Environment (PVE) or the Player vs. Player (PVP) content, including building up your very own house and farm to raiding said farms and eventually becoming a pirate; roaming the seas to prey on unsuspecting merchants.

Archeage also offers the largest world map ever seen in an MMORPG, dwarfing Blizzards ‘World of Warcraft.’ With the sheer amount of space and content available in Archeage, there is certain to be something for everyone in this highly anticipated 2014 release.

Upon release, you can expect to encounter thousands of other players in the starting zones as everyone struggles to be the first into their newly crafted boat, or the first to set up their farm on some prime grassland.

With the fourth closed beta event coming to an end, Archeage is aiming at a North American release for September 16, with an early access start of September 12.
