Arrow Casts Flash Villain Captain Boomerang

Captain Boomerang will be making his way to Oliver Queen’s city this fall.

Reports are coming in that Nick Tarabay, star of the hit series Spartacus, has been cast as George “Digger” Harkness a.k.a Captain Boomerang on The CW’s hit series Arrow.

Originally created as a Flash villain, his popularity has found him popping up throughout the DC Universe.

Most recently the character can be seen as part of the Suicide Squad in the DC animated feature, Batman: Assault on Arkham. A marksman who has mastered the Boomerang, Harkness began as a thief before eventually rising up the ranks and becoming a prominent member of the supervillain team known as the Rogues.

What brings Harkness to Starling City is still unknown.  Debuting in episode seven and returning again in episode eight, leading into the mid-season Arrow/Flash crossover event.

Although the character will make his live-action debut on Arrow, fans should expect that it wont be long before he joins The Flash and the rapidly expanding rogues gallery.

Tarabay joins other newcomers such as, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer (The Atom), Rila Fukushima as Tatsu Yamashrio (Katana), Peter Stormare as Count Vertigo,  J. R. Ramirez as Ted Grant (Wildcat),  and Matt Nable as Ra’s Al Ghul.

Arrow stars Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Emily Brett Rickards, Colton Haynes, Katie Cassidy, Willa Holland and John Barrowman. Wednesday 8 P.M. ET/PT on The CW.
