Last night’s episode of Arrow took place on an island in South America.
Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) set out to bring his sister, Thea Queen (Willa Holland), home. Roy Harper (Colton Haynes), and John Diggle (David Ramsey) attended by his side. However, Thea has been training with her biological father, Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman).
Meanwhile, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) settled into her new job at Queen Consolidated. It was obvious that she is in over her head, trying to keep up appearances for her new boss.
Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) is desperate to take her sister’s place as Black Canary, and fans are just as desperate to see it happen. She attempted to take matters in her own hands to take care of a man that beat a woman in her AA meeting. That landed her in the hospital with black eyes and busted lips. Her father, Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) made her promise not to continue on the path she has been on.
Thea’s immediate response to the presence of her friends and family was to push them away. “I’m never coming back to Starling City,” she told Oliver. She then spoke to Malcolm about returning, and decided to fight him. If she won,she would return to the city. If he won, she would stay. She beat him, although it was questionable as to whether or not he let her win. Thea caved and arrived at the airport to Starling City with her brother, Roy, and Diggle.
Laurel went to Oliver upon his return from South America. She demanded that he help her train to take her sister’s place. Oliver became angry, denying her request. Frustrated, Laurel went to a boxing coach and asked for his help in training.
Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8.7c on the CW.
