Assassins Creed 3 News: New Screenshots, Season Pass & DLC

Ubisoft has revealed new Screenshots for Assassins Creed 3.

The new Screenshots reveal the world of Assassins Creed 3 and the varied new characters that are part of it.

The new screenshots appear to be taken from both the single player and mulitiplayer modes of the game. It reveals the world of the American Revolution era that Assassins Creed 3 is set in, and has a mix of both the cities and the wild. The screenshots offer landscape with running or chase sequences and a few action sequences.

The storyline for Assassins Creed 3 as revealed by Ubisoft, “The year is 1775. The American colonies are about to revolt. You are Connor, an assassin who has sworn to secure liberty for his people and his nation. To do so, you will hunt your enemies across a staggeringly large, open, and realistic world. You will unleash your lethal skills in a violent quest that will take you from chaotic city streets to blood-soaked battlefields in the hostile American wilderness and beyond.”

Earlier this week, Ubisoft has revealed the first DLC for Assassins Creed 3. The DLC is called “The Tyranny of King Washington” and will feature a whole new single player campaign.

In addition to the new Single Player Campaign, the DLC will also feature “new maps and characters for an even more expansive multiplayer experience as well as other single-player missions.”

The storyline for the first DLC, “As the revolution comes to a close in 1783, driven by the desire to ensure the safety of the colonies, the Revolution’s greatest hero, George Washington succumbs to the temptation of the Apple of Eden and a new King is born.”

The DLC was announced alongside the reveal of a season pass for Assassins Creed 3. This season pass will give access to the five DLC’s that are all set for release in a term of six months after the game’s release.

Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass will be available for purchase for 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or £23,99 on the PlayStationNetwork. The DLC’s will also be coming to the Wii U, but there was no news regarding the PC platform.

Assassins Creed 3 is all set for a October 31, 2012 release for the Xbox-360, and PS3, and for the PC on November 23, 2012. The Wii U version will be a launch title for the console.
