AT&T 4G LTE To Be Available In More Cities

AT&T has announced that six more cities are being added to its 4G LTE network on November 20.

The cities being added are Charlotte, NC; Indianapolis; IN, Kansas City, MO-KS.; Las Vegas, CA; Oklahoma City; OK, and San Juan, PR.

This will make a total of 15 US cities which will be part of AT&T’s 4G LTE network. The cities already on the network are Athens, GA.; Atlanta, GA; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Dallas-Forth Worth, TX; Houston, TX; San Antonio, TX; and Washington, DC.

AT&T is the only carrier that provides 4G through both HSPA+ and LTE technologies. According to AT&T “HSPA+, when combined with enhanced backhaul, provides customers with compatible devices 4G speeds, meaning customers get a faster and more consistent 4G experience, even when outside of an AT&T 4G LTE area.” AT&T also said in a statement that they plan to reach 70 million Americans by the end of 2011.

AT&T also announced that the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 will be available in stores and online through their website on November 20. This brings the total number of 4G LTE devices available through AT&T to 24.
