Batman: Arkham Knight Has New, Villainous Trailer

Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have released a brand new trailer for the upcoming video game Batman: Arkham Knight, featuring Gotham City’s several villains.

The trailer features the alliancs of several of the already-announced villains. The Scarecrow is now leading the city’s worst after the death of the Joker. Among the known rogues include The Penguin, Two-Face, The Riddler, Harley Quinn, and the titular villain, the Arkham Knight. New faces include a re-designed Poison Ivy and Firefly, both returning from previous games.

This trailer comes from the heels of recent news yesterday revealing that the game will be rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB. This is the first time a Batman video game will be classified for adults only, and one of the few pieces of Batman entertainment to do so.

Arkham Knight‘s plot is closely under wraps. It is only known that Batman will deal with the Scarecrow and Arkham Knight’s threat one year after Arkham City. The hero is still reeling from the deaths of both his nemesis, The Joker, and one of his greatest lovers, Talia al Ghul. Scarecrow’s threat to Gotham via a fear toxin attack leaves the city open for plunder and take over.

Batman: Arkham Knight will arrive for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 2nd, 2015.
