Bentley has released the rarest and most dynamic Continental in their history, calling it the GT3-R.
The Continental GT3-R was inspired by Bentley’s GT3 racecar, which recently won the Blancpain Endurance Series race at Silverstone, the first UK race for Bentley in 84 years.
Only 300 Continental GT3-R’s will be hand-built at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe. Bentley’s Motorsport Division will provide the finishing touches.
Featuring a retuned version of Bentley’s race-proven 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, this two-seat, performance-focused Grand Tourer rockets from a standstill to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds. This makes the Continental GT3-R the fastest-accelerating Bentley ever.
Guiding it to that title, the Continental GT3-R is 100 kg lighter than a GT V8 S, and its high-performance V8 produces 572 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Reaching max torque at just 1,700 rpm certainly helps it to get off the line in a hurry.
Once moving, Bentley’s all-wheel drive system now features torque vectoring to hustle it through the bends. The Electronic Stability Control system was modified and the chassis was tuned to give the Continental GT3-R a dynamic, responsive and involving driving experience.
