Bioshock Now Available on the App Store for $14.99

As announced weeks ago, Bioshock is now available on the App Store for $14.99.

The critically acclaimed game was first released in 2007, and is now being called a classic by most gamers. It even won 6 different “Game of the Year” awards within a year of its release.

Although the game bears a highly noticeable graphics downgrade in order for it to meet Apple’s 2GB limit on file sizes, the game has been left untouched, allowing mobile users to completely re-experience the game in the palm of their hands.

Users and reviewers have, however, expressed disappointment in the touchscreen optimization of the game. They said that they find it difficult to maneuver through the different overlaid attack/aiming buttons that cramp the screen, and have suggested using a Bluetooth controller instead.

Bioshock may be a classic, but a game of this proportion comes at a price, and that price is $14.99 and 1.65GB of storage.

You will also need to use current gen iOS devices as the game cannot be played by the iPhone 4S or earlier models, iPad generation three and below or the first generation versions of the iPad Mini and the iPod Touch.

What do you think?

Are you happy with the game on iOS, or do you think that 2K should have released a version for the PS Vita instead?
