For Board Games, Black Friday Starts Now

All of the major online retailers of specialty board games are having big sales this week.

While finding strategy games at Target stores may be challenging, all of the retailer’s games are buy two, get the third free, and the selection is quite extensive.

In addition to familiar party games for adults and children,  including Jenga, Monopoly, and Pie Face, Target has discounts on King of Tokyo, Catan, 7 Wonders, and Dominion, among hundreds of titles. Sale items are included in the buy two, get one free deal.

CoolStuffInc has three pages of board games on sale, as well as role-playing games, and collectible card games. Citadels, Diamonds, Francis Drake, Hospital Rush, Smash Up, Tokaido, and Samurai Spirit are among the best deals. Several games are 50 percent off the manufacturer’s suggested price.

Miniature Market recently reduced its regular prices on more than 3,000 board games, and it offers cheap shipping — starting at $5.95 — for small orders. It has six pages of Black Friday specials on board games. Skyscrapers, Provincia Romana, Planes, King of New York, Dark Moon, Cubo, Werewolves of Miller’s Hollow: The Pact, and Korrigans are among the best deals.

Amazon has lots of family games on sale, but few strategy games. Among the sale items are Steam Park, Ingenious, Relic Hunters, and Ventura.

Cardhaus is limiting customers to two of the same item, but it is offering some of the best prices. Among the best discounts are Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn, Bad Beets, Champions of Midgard, Dead of Winter, Flick ‘Em Up!, Imperial Settlers, and Machi Koro, Mice & Mystics, Mottainai, Mysterium, Star Wars: Armada, Star Wars: Imperial Assault, and XCOM: The Board Game.
