Body Found In Former Beer Executive St. Louis Home

Thursday afternoon, police were still investigating the discovery of the body of a 27-year old woman at the house of August Busch IV, the former chief of the Budweiser beer empire.  She was found last Sunday evening at the Busch’s Huntleigh, Missouri estate, but the press was not alerted until just Thursday.

As is typical for an unexplained death such as this, an autopsy has been ordered and the results of this investigation are expected sometime around the end of January, 2011.

August Busch IV, who is 46 years old, was the CEO of Anheuser-Busch until 2008 when he sold the family company to InBev for $52 billion.  Since that sale, he has kept a very low profile and has seemingly tried to avoid the press.  In January, 2009, he divorced his wife.   An attorney hired by Busch has been reported as saying that, “absolutely nothing suspicious” should be assumed about the woman’s death.  However, he did not supply any further information.  A statement made by police say that a 9-11 phone call was placed at 1:15 PM on Sunday reporting that there was an unresponsive person in the house.  The yet-to-be-identified woman was already dead when authorities arrived at the house.
