If you are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon National Park, you probably wonder where to stay. The Bright Angel Lodge & Cabins might be the right place for you.
Bright Angel Lodge & Cabins is situated at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, just within two-minute walk from the Bright Angel Trail.
It is one of the oldest hotels in this area, and is part of the History Hotels of America. It has a huge lobby, large restaurant and bar, and a gift shop.
The food in the restaurant is good, especially the breakfast.
The cabins in Bright Angel Lodge & Cabins are clean, cosy and furnished with antiques. Some of them offer fascinating views of the Grand Canyon, and are just a few steps away from it. They have Wi-Fi, but no AC. There are activities you can participate in during the day, and you can walk in peace at night and watch the stars.
Finding a parking space is a very hard task in Bright Angel Lodge & Cabins. Also, if peace is what you desire, you will hardly find some here. During the day it is crowded with tourists. The walls of the cabins are very thin and, if you have noisy neighbours, you might not have a good sleep at night. Since Bright Angel Lodge & Cabins is located in the Grand Canyon National Park, you might expect a nice attitude from the staff, but you won’t get one.
If you are looking for lux, you won’t find one here. But since you’ll be in the wilderness, you might actually appreciate the place. I strongly recommend it, because of the different experience you will find there.
