Call Of Duty: Black Ops Review [Video]

Call of Duty: Black Ops is the most recent installment in the hugely popular Call of Duty series. The storyline is one of the most engaging of the series, although there are parts where it seems to lose touch with the reality of the game, and several levels in the middle can get fairly sluggish.

The artificial intelligence of the computer characters is where the game really expresses its few faults. Both the enemy soldiers and the friendlies have no realism in their actions, and will sometimes ‘glitch’ or behave strangely. One user reported watching an AI controlled teammate empty the clip of his rifle into the armored car he was hiding behind.

The Battle of Khe Sanh mission features a huge design flaw, and the mission instructions will even point a player in the wrong direction.

Every flaw in the single player campaign though is more than made up for in the multiplayer game mode, which is why most people purchase the game in the first place. The game types are similar to Modern Warfare 2, although Treyarch has completely switched up the leveling and points system.

A theater capture system in Black Ops allows players to capture and edit gameplay, although the videos can only be uploaded at CallofDuty.com, and not the more popular Youtube.
