Canada buy a 2015 Acura TLX a receive 2 years free maintenance!

Canadian customers are being offered a complimentary 2 year vehicle maintenance package with the purchase of a 2015 Acura TLX. To take advantage of this promotion you merely need to visit acura.ca and register.

You will then receive a pin#, which you will give to your local dealer at the time of purchase. You must take possession of your TLX by October 2014. For more details visit your local dealership.

The 2015 TLX was engineered, designed and developed in the U.S.A. The TLX and its powertrain, will be built in the companies state of the art Marysville, Ohio facility.

The car is a spacious 5 passenger luxury vehicle that offers sporty refinement, and the latest technologies.

There will be 3 distinct models to choose.

The base TLX will be powered by a 2.4L 4 cylinder engine putting 206 hp through an all new 8 speed dual clutch transmission. It comes with Acura’s latest P-AWS ( Precision All-Wheel Steering) system, and will be priced from $34,990.

The mid range model will use the 3.5L V-6 which produces a robust 290 hp. This engine is teamed up with a new 9-speed automatic transmission and will have the P-AWS system.  Optional is the SH-AWD( Super Handling All-Wheel Drive). Starting price with the Technology package is $41,690 or the Elite Package at $45,290.

The top of the line TLX uses the same 3.5L V-6 but comes with the P-AWS and SH-AWD. An interesting side note is the new version of Acura’s torque vectoring system, it is now  hydraulically controlled for seamless function. Pricing will be $43,890 for the Technology Package and $47,490 for the Elite.

The latest Integrated Dynamics System (IDS) is standard on all TLX models. The system allows the driver to control power-steering effort, throttle response, transmission shift points, HVAC operation, active sound control and the logic control for the P-AWS and SH-AWD systems. The driver merely selects one of four modes: ECON ,Normal, Sport or Sport+.

Fuel economy ratings for the 2.4L are 9.6 city, 6.6 Highway, 8.3 L/100 km combined.(24.5/35.6/28.3 mpg).

The fully loaded 3.5 V-6 will see 11.2 city, 7.5 Highway, 9.5 L/100 km combined ( 21, 31.4, 24.8 mpg).

Not wanting to be outdone, the TLX will come with a lot of standard kit: LED headlights, Smart Entry and pushbutton ignition, rear-view  camera, Hill Start Assist, power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control and a 10 way power drivers seat.

If that’s not enough, the Tech and Elite packs offer more: Premium Milano Leather trimmed interior, remote start, heated steering wheel and rear seats, LED fog lights and more.

On the safety front Acura has you covered with a whole slew of electronic nannies available. These include: Collision Mitigation Braking Systemâ„¢ (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow and Blind Spot Indicator (BSI).

All in all a very appealing proposition, you get Honda level reliability with Lexus level refinement and enough technology to worry Mercedes. With the 2 year maintenance package this should be on anyone’s radar. What color will yours be?
