The added footage of “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” trailer is creating all kinds of buzz on the internet.
The clip, seen during last Tuesday’s broadcast of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” on ABC, showcases the heroes themselves in the tower donated by Tony Stark.
Before Ultron, in his disheveled form, arrives, the men are trying to lift Thor’s hammer. It is deemed that whoever would be worthy to lift the hammer, will have the power of Thor.
Tony is the first to attempt this feat, and even cheating, it is no surprise that nothing happens.
It is the second attempt that causes wonder. When Steve Rogers, aka Captain America attempts, he fails trying to lift it, however, it moves slightly. When you look closely at Thor’s reaction. . . it’s a look of, at least, mild concern.
This may mean nothing, or it could mean everything.
Consider the trailer. Near the end, we see Thor, clearly lying on the ground, next to Cap’s broken shield.
Could it be that Captain America, in an act of desperation, is able to wield Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, if only briefly?
It is theorized that for Rogers, it may not be that he is unworthy, but rather, not destined, for the power. Captain America represents virtue and justice; something that the mighty hammer would likely respect, based on what has been shown in the first “Thor” movie, back in 2011.
Any thoughts on this? Plausible, or unlikely?
