In college football this weekend, the long tradition of losing to LSU will be challenged again by Mississippi State. LSU is trying not to let their 11 year winning streak go to their heads. Mississippi is coming off a tough loss to Auburn, so their not going to go into this game lightly. But LSU’s dominant defense will likely hold the Bulldogs to a very low score.
South Carolina’s going to have to pick up its pass defense; being ranked last in past defense will break the lucky streak that has the team listed at 10th offensively and 11th defensively. They’re ranked 10th overall and will be going up against Navy this Saturday at at 5pm.
No. 5 Seminoles are likely breathing a sigh of relief after learning they’ll face the Sooners without the senior linebacker Travis Lewis. Lewis, out with a broken bone in his left foot, was hoping to buck the eight week recuperation time and get in at five weeks. He’s been told otherwise. Look for the Seminloles to have the upper hand in this game.
Notre Dame revisits its embarassing loss to Michigan State last year, hopeful not to repeat the mistakes this Saturday at 2:30pm. If it can avoid another video game inspired last minute play by the Spartans, they might eb able to pull off a win.
