Continuum Fans Plan Friday Tweetathon Pleading for Season 4

Continuum fans are taking to Twitter this Friday for a “tweetathon” aimed at Showcase to call on them to #RenewContinuum for a fourth season.

Rich Piechowski, a self-described “sci-fi geek” and leader of several sci-fi social media street teams, has organized the tweetathon for Friday, August 8th from 3:00PM to 3:15PM Pacific.

Continuum fans are urged to tweet and retweet the following message: “Please #RenewContinuum @Showcasedotca We Want Continuum Season 4”

Fans have eagerly been awaiting news since August 1st about whether the popular sci-fi time traveling show will be renewed. On July 16th, showrunner Simon Barry offered fans just a glimmer of hope, tweeting that word of Continuum’s fourth season renewal announcement would come sometime in “early August.”

Since that tweet, fans have taken their love of Continuum to their social media accounts, including Facebook and Twitter, using the #RenewContinuum hashtag daily.

With the recent release of Continuum Season 3 on Netflix, demand for the show has increased as fans late to the show have caught up in summer binge watching.

In a September 2013 interview with Collider, Barry shared that he envisions a seven-season story arc for the show: “In the first meeting of Season 1, the room discussed how we wanted the show to end, and we had an arbitrary number of seven years. So, we have a good idea.”

Showcase and its parent company Shaw Media have offered no word yet on the future of Continuum.
