Cricket: India Vs West Indies 5th ODI At Barbados: Preview

The fifth and the final ODI of the series between India and West Indies will be played at Bridgetown,, in Barbados on Thursday, June 16. The game will be a day game and despite the result having been decided, it should be a keenly fought encounter.

Especially given what happened in the fourth ODI, when India, despite being 3-0 up in the series were crushed by the resurgent West Indian side.

The Indians had made a plethora of changes to their line-up; something that seemed to be the cause for their defeat in the fourth ODI. One senses that while Manoj Tiwary and Ishant Sharma could still remain in the playing eleven for the game, there is a chance that Harbhajan Singh may come back.

On the other hand, the West Indians will be ecstatic with their win, but will know that their middle-order continues to be their trouble. Again, it was Lendl Simmons at the top of the innings and the lower-order that got the side moving.

The Barbados track will have a lot of bounce and that should help the West Indian bowling. It could be some baptism by fire for the likes of Raina and company.

India vs West Indies fifth ODI starts at 1400 hours GMT on Thursday.
