Bug note: first bug noticed. The ‘add a featured image’ link to your right —>
only works where there is no text here. For now, you can add an image after clearing this text out and before writing your story. I’m working on a fix.
Welcome to the new CP Front End Editor!
Be aware that this is very BETA. If you run into any trouble at all, you can revert to the regular WP editor by clicking on the “edit in admin” button at the upper right corner of this page.
Text To Speech Proofing Aid
Ready to proof your article?
You can listen to it by highlighting text and clicking on the speaker icon.
Listening will sometimes help identify any trouble spots and errors.
You still have to look at the words while you listen. Pay particular attention to where commas and apostrophes are placed, and words that sound the same but are spelled differently.
Listening can help you focus on what is written, rather than what you thought you wrote.
This is very much in beta testing. Over time, expect improvements in the quality of the voice and reading.
When editing, just as before, the main AdSense ad will not show on your edit screen. It will be displayed on the live page.
We still want to keep paragraphs short. That helps keep the ad placement fairly high on the page (“above the fold”). Besides, short paragraphs make for easier online reading.
Also keep in mind that additional images or videos need to be placed low enough in the content that they do not crash into the ad.
Ready to write?
Click on the “clear text” link and this section will be cleared. Then write away. When done, click on the “settings” button. Complete the popup, then hit “publish”.
Again, if you have any trouble at all, just let me know and use the backend editor in the meantime.
Here’s a quick video on how to use the new editor.
