We know that there will be a third installment of the Insidious movie series.
We know that the two lead actors in the first two movies, Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne, won’t return for the third movie.
And now we know that Dermot Mulroney will be playing a part in Insidious: Chapter 3.
Mulroney’s exact role is unknown as of now, but it’s expected that he will play a leading role. The other addition that’s been made to the cast for Chapter 3 is teenager Stefanie Scott, which would indicate that a father-daughter story line between her and Mulroney is possible.
Leigh Whannell will be taking over as director for James Wan, who directed the first two installments and will be staying on as a producer on Chapter 3. Whannell wrote the first two Insidious films, as well as acting in them, and he will do the same in Chapter 3.
Plot details for Chapter 3 have been hard to come by, but Mulroney being cast is another piece of the puzzle. Insidious: Chapter 3 is scheduled to be released April 3, 2015.
