Metal Gear fans eagerly awaiting the latest entry’s release on PC could have great news to brighten their holidays – at least if Hideo Kojima is to believed.
The famed creator of the Metal Gear franchise has announced the release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for December 18, 2014.
He had made the announcement in the Igromir 2014 gaming event held in Russia.
At least two Russian gaming websites – Gamemag and Shazoo – as well as the Twitter account of Batya Gaming have reported the news.
Links to the respective news sources can be found on this NeoGAF post by an individual going by the username “duckroll”.
There has, however, been no news from Kojima Productions regarding an official release date of Ground Zeroes.
Until we get one, though, then Hideo Kojima’s word is all we have regarding a possible – not final – release date for the game.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes already has a Steam page showcasing the game’s highlights, from open-world stealth gameplay to the graphical capabilities of the game’s FOX engine.
Ground Zeroes itself is something like a cross between a teaser and a prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain – which is planned for release in 2015.
