The UFC 131: Dos Santos versus Carwin, will see the Brazilian fighter Junior dos Santos take on Shane Carwin from USA in the mixed martial arts event. It will be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on June 11. The Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia will be hosting the event.
The dos Santos-Carwin battle in the UFC 131 is for the Heavyweight bout with four other fights in the Main Card events. American fighter Kenny Florian will take on Diego Nunes in the Featherweight fight, Jon Olav Einemo fights Dave Herman in another Heavyweight battle, a Middleweight bout will have Demian Maia taking on Mark Muñoz while Vagner Rocha will replace Mac Danzig in his Lightweight fight against Donald Cerrone.
The fighter winning the headline event fight between dos Santos and Carwin will probably take on the current UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez. Earlier, it had been decided that Brock Lesnar would take part in the fight, but his fitness woes paved way for Carwin.
Dos Santos will be favourite going into this battle given his record of winning six successive fights before this one.
