DWTS Week 5 Knocks Carrie Ann Off Her Chair! Scores/Highlights

DWTS Week 5 Knocks Carrie Ann Off Her Chair! Scores/Highlights

Last week on  Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars, Bristol and Mark were sent home one week shy of guilty pleasures night.

But things got off to a bad start this week, when Melissa Rycroft hurt her neck during rehearsals.

She was taken to the hospital. The question became… will she dance tonight?

Let’s find out:

Kelly and Val
Dance: Samba
Song: Want You Back
Score: 24.5

Kelly and Val got the night off to a sexy start – but they may have taken it too far. Len said there was too much gyrating and they took too long to get into the actual dance. Bruno called it a titillating, tasty tease. Carrie Ann struck them down, saying it wasn’t their best week.

Gilles and Peta
Dance: Rumba
Song: I Will Always Love You
Score: 29.5

After last week’s amazing Bollywood number, Gilles and Peta had to pull out all the tricks in order to wow the judges. Len called their Rumba a blockbuster, Bruno said it was a theater master-class and Carrie Ann declared, “Let the baby-making begin!” She then promptly fell right out of her chair! DWTS host Tom Bergeron responded to Carrie Ann’s fall by saying “When you said “Let the baby-making begin!’ I didn’t think you’d get in position!”

Carrie Ann appeared to be ok, just somewhat embarrassed. Gilles and Peta earned a near perfect score with Len the .5 holdout.

Kirstie and Maks

Dance: Quickstep
Song: Mrs. Robinson
Score: 25.5

Kirstie and Maks went with another playful number, with a sweet Quickstep to a tune about an older woman who seduces a younger man. Even though they didn’t really connect, Carrie Ann and Len agreed it was their best dance. Bruno had to make a toy boy comment, then followed it with more compliments. They end up with a respectable 8.5 across the board.

Emmitt and Cheryl
Dance: Samba
Song: Copacabana
Score: 29

Emmitt and Cheryl brought the party to the floor with their lively rendition of Barry Manilow’s Copacabana. The dancers looked like they were having fun, and the judges appeared loved it too. Len called it unstoppable, Bruno said it delivered maximum pleasure, and Carrie Ann said no one Sambas like Emmitt Smith! They received a 10 from Bruno, but half point loss from the other two judges.

The evening ended with the first group dance of the season. Shawn & Derek, Sabrina & Louis, Apolo & Karina, and Melissa & Tony danced freestyle to “Call Me Maybe.”

In spite of her injury, Melissa joined her teammates for the number but it obviously wasn’t easy on her.

Still, they delivered a fast and fun dance with excellent transitions and lots of spirit (so says Carrie Ann). They received a 29.5, which is going to be tough for the other team to beat.

And that’s it. Thanks to another Presidential Debate, only half the couples performed tonight. The rest will do their guilty pleasure numbers tomorrow, and no one will be eliminated this week.

Dancing with the Stars returns tomorrow on ABC at 8:00.
