Earth Day 2016: Ride For FREE In NYC, Courtesy of Citi Bikes

If you live in the NYC area and want to “go green” for Earth Day 2016, one way to do it is by taking advantage of Citi Bike’s free all-day ride offer.

Earth Day is today, Friday, April 22, and is meant to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote clean living.

In honor of that, Citi Bike is offering free rides for the day, which coincides with the Car-Free NYC initiative.

The Car-Free initiative was proposed back in March and is meant to encourage New Yorkers to forgo using their cars in favor of more eco-friendly commuting options.

To claim a free ride you must register online using this free Citi Bike rides link.

Registering is easy: just enter your name and email address, and an email containing a code will be sent to you.

The code can then be redeemed at any Citi Bike location across the city.

According to a statement by Citi Bike,  staff will be available at docking stations along Broadway at 17th, 22nd and 24th streets, to help answer questions.

Will you be taking advantage of Citi Bike’s free ride offer to celebrate Earth Day 2016?
