In the wake of Apple’s launch of the third-generation iPad, eBay has announced they are offering cash for used iPads and other electronics.
According to a statement that eBay released yesterday, they will buy used iPads in working or nonworking condition.
The current offer for a working, 64 GB, Wi-Fi plus 3G iPad 2 is $475. For a nonworking model, they are offering $200.
The current offer for a working, 32 GB, Wi-Fi plus 3G iPad 2 is $380, and $176 for a nonworking model.
For the iPad 2, Wi-Fi only, 16 GB version, eBay is offering $290 for working model, and $127.50 for a nonworking model.
They also offer $200 for an iPad 1 in working condition, and $75 for one that’s not working.
Along with the offers to purchase iPads, eBay also noted that they will pay $240 for a working Motorola Xoom 32 GB Wi-Fi + 3G/4G, and $48.83 if it’s not working. For a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 32GB 4G, eBay is paying $225 if it’s working, just a bit over $71 if it’s not.
The above prices are subject to change. However, eBay says they will lock in the price at the time the seller agrees to the deal. And during the special they are currently having (expires March 10), eBay will not require the tablet to be shipped until March 20. This, they say, so that users can get their new tablet from Apple before they have to send in their old one for the trade-in. The new iPads are set to hit stores on March 16.
