Hit ABC comedy Modern Family and Showtime‘s dramatic thriller Homeland led the pack at last night’s 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
Modern Family walked away with four trophies, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
Julie Bowen won for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for her role of matriarch Claire Dunphy, and Eric Stonestreet won the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his portrayal of lovable uncle and father Cameron Tucker.
Modern Family also walked away with the trophy for Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series for its episode “”Baby On Board,” directed by Steven Levitan.
Thrilling CIA series Homeland won Outstanding Drama Series, as well as Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for its appropriately named pilot, “Pilot.”
Homeland also garnered awards for stars Claire Danes and Damian Lewis for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, respectively.
