First Look At Disney’s New ‘Beauty And The Beast’ Movie

Disney has released a new teaser trailer for its upcoming live-action version of Beauty and the Beast.

The film, which comes out in March of 2017, is Disney’s latest version of the “tale as old as time,” as the title song described it in Disney’s 1991 animated movie of Beauty and the Beast, which came right in the middle of one of Disney animation’s greatest eras.

The new movie will include the famous Alan Menken/Howard Ashman songs from the animated movie, as well as new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.

The 90-second teaser doesn’t include much dialogue, but rather focuses on the castle set, before leading up to a quick look at Emma Watson as Belle, a quick snippet of the 1991 film’s theme song, and reference to another song from that version, “Be Our Guest.”

Disney, which in the past few years has been pushing out Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar hits all year long, has also had a great deal of success churning out live-action versions of its animated classics, including Maleficent in 2014, Cinderella in 2015 and The Jungle Book last month.

The movie, directed by Bill Condon, will star Emma Watson, Luke Evans, Dan Stevens, Emma Thompson and Ewan McGregor.

What do you think? Will you see the new movie, or just stick with the cartoon version?
