Saleen Automotive has announced it will release renderings of the Saleen Tesla Model S electric vehicle on April 12.
It was previously announced in January that the company would produce a Tesla model.
This marks the company’s first foray into enriching an electric vehicle model that already exists.
According to the company, the R&D phase has reached a level that will accommodate plans to release a rendering this month.
Saleen Automotive anticipates its version of the Tesla Model S should be available early this summer.
Saleen Automotive CEO, Steve Saleen, said, “Some of the mystery will soon be over. For those who have wondered what we can do to a car like the Tesla, our renderings will answer many of the questions in the media.”
He added, “But until the actual car rolls out of our Corona Campus production facility this summer, the public will have to wait to see the full expression of talent and creativity that we intend to bring to the amazing Tesla Model S.”
The renderings will be a first glimpse into otherwise sparse details and specs that have been kept mum about the Saleen Tesla Model S electric vehicle.
