Free xBox Offer For Students To Expire Sept 3, 2011

Free Xbox 360 4Gb consoles are being included with the purchase of select Windows 7 laptops and desktop computers, from specific retailers. The requirements? The computer must cost $699 or more and must be purchased by a current student with a college or university ID card, or a .edu email address.

The back to school, free xBox, special began early this summer and is set to expire in about a month, September 3, 2011, or when supplies run out.

Best Buy, without explanation, pulled this special from their stores. They offered it earlier in the summer, but ended it this month, according to teenstalktech.com.

However, the free xBox deal is still available through Amazon, Dell, HP, and Microsoft stores.

Students ordering a laptop/desktop online are required to use a campus email address ending in .edu. Amazon also requires that students be members of their ‘Amazon Student’ program to take advantage of this deal. Amazon Student is free to sign up for, includes free two day shipping on textbooks and other Amazon purchases, offers one-day shipping of items for $3.99, and includes email alerts of special and deals geared toward students.

The Xbox 360 4Gb gaming console has a retail value of $199.99.

I'm a regular person who is passionate about writing... any kind of writing. I used to write short stories as a child. That brought me to a 35 year career as a business writer and instructional designer and developer as well as a developer of user guides, manuals, and instructional classroom aids for corporate trainees.

Upon retirement, I tackled the first item on my bucket list -- to write a novel. It took many months of thought, planning, outlining, and ultimately sitting at the keyboard for months but finally, I did write my novel. So now I'm a regular person and retiree who has reinvented herself as a published author of fiction!

I love researching everything and anything to satisfy many facets of my very curious personality, so it was only natural that I advance that love of research into reporting on the happenings of the day, weeks and months as to what's new on the shopping lists of merchandise buyers for fashion, and technology. Why not add to that, entertainment and the most layered and complex world of music.

I love it all! I hope you'll love some of it :()
