Two promotions on the Amazon Appstore for Android combine to create this mega-deal.
First, nine photo apps that normally cost $0.99 or more are being given away for free today. With each free “purchase”, you receive 100 “coins” as well. One coin is a promotional credit worth $0.01 on the Amazon Appstore for Android.
With 900 coins now in the bank, you can purchase Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for 699 coins. That game includes 2000 coins of its own for a limited time.
All told, that’s 900 – 699 + 2000 = 2201 coins, or $22.01 credit.
Taking advantage of the offer requires you to register at least one Android device with Amazon and install the Amazon Appstore. Some users might need to change the permissions of their device to allow installation of apps from “Unknown sources” – essentially, sources other than Google’s own Play Store. Purchased apps, including free ones, appear in the “Cloud” section of the Amazon Appstore on your device. Installation of each app is not required to earn coins.
