Getting An Inside Scoop On Celebrity New Year’s Resolutions

Before and right after January 1, 2011, the general public is sure to learn of some truly wise and, on the flip side, some completely unrealistic celebrity New Year’s resolutions.  Some celebrity junkies find these decrees to be life changing proclamations and others, well, let them go in one ear and out the other.

In the past, some of the most common celebrity New Year’s resolutions have included, “need to get more sleep” or “will try my hardest to put family first.”  Maybe this year, some celebrities will be able to connect with the everyday fan and make a resolution that is truly life changing.

The current economic climate is poor for many people in the U.S. and publicists have been advising celebrities to “tone down” their proclamations in an effort to connect to normal people.  A consultant at the Bass publicity firm based in Los Angeles suggests that celebrities keep in mind that fans are having a hard time making ends meet and that making over-the-top resolutions like “only spending $1000 per day” may turn people off.

It is still a little early, but in the next couple of days, the morning news programs are sure to be ablaze with the latest statements, forwarded on by publicists, about celebrity New Year’s resolutions.
