GM Expands Its Military Discount To All Present And Veteran Personnel

Last year over 40,000 active and veteran military personnel took advantage of GM’s Military Discount.

This year GM has expanded the offer to all 22 million active, reserve and veteran military service members from the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, National Guard and the Coast Guard. The offer even extends to their spouses.

The discount will be available from May 1st to June 30th 2015, and is applicable to eligible new 2015/2014 Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles.

“GM has supported the U.S. military for 100 years and we continue to be their strong allies,” said Steve Hill, GM vice president of U.S. sales and service. “This discount is just one way we’re thanking the men and women who’ve served our country.”

The program, which began in 2008, offers military customers below MSRP prices on new vehicles. By allowing all present and past personnel- regardless of separation date – to access the savings, GM has the most comprehensive military purchase program in the industry.

Also, the savings can be combined with most other current incentives, and current USAA Insurance members are also eligible for an additional $750 discount.

The only catch is the eligible customers must take delivery by June 30, 2015.

To better understand how it works let’s look at two examples.

First, a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro V8 SS Model with a MSRP of $34,500; the Military Discount price is $33,359.81, but add the Consumer Cash amount of $1000 and the customer pays $32,359.81.

Second, a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Base model pickup truck with a MSRP of $27,365 has a Military Discount price of $26,518. Add the Consumer Cash incentive of $2250 and the price becomes $24,268.
