GoPro announced its latest, lightest, and littlest, camera on Monday.
GoPro, the popular manufacturer of high-defnition camcorders, included in its latest catalog the company’s first camera with an all-new design in nine years.
The new HERO4 Session is 60% lighter than the company’s flagship HERO4 Black and Silver cameras.
GoPro founder and CEO Nick Woodman told CNBC on Monday, “This GoPro is so easy to use that we think its size and simplicity is going to be really appealing.”
The GoPro HERO4 Session is waterproof and comes with a second microphone built right into the device.
The company launched another camera in early June called the HERO+LCD, intended for a somewhat older demographic than its other models. The recent model stands somewhere between the $129 HERO and the $399 HERO4 Silver. The HERO+LCD retails for $299.
The GoPro HERO4 Session will be available starting July 12, retailing for $399.99.
