After brief mention this January, Sony has officially announced the PS3 version of its HBO Go app is available as of today.
HBO CEO Richard Plepler previously said GO would be arriving on PS3 and PS4 soon, and it looks like its the older console of the two that will get the very first taste.
For those that are unaware, HBO GO is a streaming service that commonly comes bundled with a cable subscription to HBO. Users can log in with a cable network account to watch the majority of HBO series, documentaries, sporting events, or movies at their leisure.
This is the very first time that HBO GO has made an appearance on a games console outside of Xbox 360 back in 2012.
With just just under a month till HBO’s new season of Game Of Thrones, there’s plenty of time for hopeful viewers to catch up! Other recent popular series include True Detective, Girls, Entourage, and The Sopranos.
No dates have been dropped with regards to a PS4 version, but Consumer Press will be among the first to inform you!
