Hitting T-Mobile Soon: The Galaxy Exhibit/Galaxy S3 Mini

The latest news, or call it a leak, suggests that T-Mobile U.S is going to offer Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, but the name will be Samsung Galaxy Exhibit.

The leak was spotted by the folks over at Unwired View.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is a mid-range phone which has similar design similar to the original Galaxy S3.

Specs wise, S3 Mini has a 4 inch display compared to the 4.8 inches offered by S3. The processor is also on the lower end at 1 GHz, while the S3 features a 1.5 GHz processor.

There have been previous releases with a similar name; Galaxy Exhibit 2 and Galaxy Exhibit 4G, so it’s unclear why the T-Mobile and Samsung have picked up this name for the upcoming handset.

The design of the device is going to be the same as the S3 Mini, which means consumers will get to use the famous TouchWiz interface.

This is going to be the second release of a Galaxy S3 Mini variant from a U.S carrier. Previously, Galaxy Axiom (another S3 mini variant with a different name) was offered by US Cellular. Galaxy Axiom sells for $29.99 for a 2-year contract, so T-Mobile may offer it in a similar price range.

The device is purported to arrive in the first quarter, which means it will be available for purchase before the end of March.
