HTC EVO 3D 4G – Pre-Order Discount Available

The soon to be released HTC Evo 3D 4G on the Sprint Network is now available for pre-ordering at a discount through online cell phone distributor Wirefly.

The HTC Evo 3D is a 4G smartphone that features a 4.3 inch 3D qHD display. The 3D screen is designed to be used without the use of ‘3D glasses’. The phone’s camera is actually a dual set of 5mp cameras to capture 3D images. It can capture either stills or video. The flash sits between the two lens. It comes with the 3D version of the Blockbuster OnDemand app with access (via subscription) to Blockbuster 2D and 3D movies, games, and TV.

About the same size as the original Evo, the new 3D version is loaded with the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system, and runs on a 1.2ghz dual-core processor. It was originally introduced in March of this year, at CTIA 2011.

The HTC Evo 3D is set for it’s U.S. launch on June 24th. Cell phone discounter Wirefly announced this week that they are taking pre-orders for the phone, and will ship pre-ordered phones on the launch date via FedEx. Pre-orders through this distributer include a 30 day pre-order price guarantee, the right to cancel the order before shipment, free shipping, and free lifetime backup service.

With a new, 2 year, Sprint contract, the phone is $179 through Wirefly. Sprint.com is advertising the smartphone for $199 with a new contract – though they are not offering pre-ordering at this time.
