Today it was announced that a match was found between a DNA sample obtained from the former International Monetary Fund head.  Dominique Strauss-Kahn, or more commonly known these days as the no-tell-motel assaulter, submitted a DNA sample to law enforcement and a match was found.

The legally-obtained sample matched the evidence found on the shirt of a hotel maid who told police that she was sexually assaulted by Strauss-Kahn.  The semen found on her shirt was a match.  Unsurprisingly, Strauss-Kahn’s attorneys have declined comment on this latest piece of damning evidence against the former head of the international bank.

Strauss-Kahn was indicted on Thursday on sexual assault and attempted rape and, reportedly, submitted to the DNA collection shortly after his arrest.

The question still remains, however, if this was a forced sexual encounter.  At this point, only the legal system can judge with a jury of his peers.  Right now, this case is seemingly shaping up to be a classic “he-said, she-said” situation.  It is sure to be the case of the summer and no doubt all of the media outlets and 24-hour cable news will be following developments minute to minute.  Strauss-Kahn is out on bail.
