Apple will release the iPhone 6 on September 19, according to an alleged leak from Deutsche Telekom.
That may be about right.
In what appears to be an effort to clear out stock, the price of the iPhone 5S has dropped from $149 to $99 on Verizon, AT&T and Sprint with a two-year contract. The price of the iPhone 5C has been cut from $49 to $29.
We’ve seen this happen before in the lead up to a new iPhone launch.
Reuters has stated that the iPhone 6 will feature a brand new design with a 4.7-inch display. There are also rumors of a big 5.5-inch screen iPhone in the works, designed to compete with some of the big Android smartphones.
It’s expected that the Iphone 6 will feature scratch free sapphire crystal glass screen, a 20-nanometer A8 chip (64-bit) that is paired with the newly released iOS 8, and an 8MP camera with improved flash and optical stabilization. The smaller model of iPhone 6 may feature 1920x1080p (440ppi) resolution, while the larger may come with 2272×1280 (510ppi) resolution.
The new iPhone 6 might also feature a barometer and altimeter.
