Killer Is Dead Pre-Order Bonuses Include Soundtrack, Book & Game Xtra’s!

Killer Is Dead, a highly stylized one player action game, is now available for pre-ordering.

Shoppers who pre-order the video game before its August 27, 2013 release date will receive several pre-order bonuses.

The bonuses include an 80 page hardcover art book, a CD soundtrack that includes 25 songs – and a DLC code for four extra in-game items.

The in-game extras include Gigolo glasses, an extra Gigolo Mission with Betty, alternate costumes for Vivienne and Mika, and an additional episode with the vampiric Sebastian.

The pre-order bonuses are confirmed as available on pre-orders placed through Amazon and Gamestop. They are also likely available on pre-orders through Walmart, Target, Newegg and other retailers, but the availability of the bonuses are not included on their sales pages.

The game is priced at $59.99 (MSRP).

It will be available for the Xbox360 and Playstation 3.

Killer Is Dead has not only eye catching artwork, it also includes a story line that is gathering some major attention. The all new video game by Japanese director Suda 51 features gory scenes and mature images.

Players play as Mondo Zappa, a ladies man and hired assassin, who is part of a futuristic government sponsored kill squad. This familiar plot line is colored, however, with graphic kills, sci-fi villains and gigolo missions.

Even before its release, the game’s director has been receiving criticism about the female characters in the game.

When asked how he thought women would react to the highly sexualized plot line in the game, Suda 51 replied, “I’m actually not that concerned, because I think women can have just as much fun with that mode; that’s certainly the case in Japan anyway,” he added, “I don’t know about North America or Europe…”

Killer Is Dead is rated M for Mature.

Suda 51 was also the director of No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, and Shadows of the Damned .
