Kindle Fire 2 In The Making?

It looks like Amazon may already be cooking up a new Kindle Fire.

Not much in the way of details available at this point, but DigiTimes is reporting that their sources, which prefer to remain anonymous, say that a parts manufacturer in Taiwan, Catcher Technology, has received an order from Amazon related to a new Kindle Fire.

This news comes in the wake of a reports saying that Amazon cut in half it’s production orders for the current Kindle Fire, and there are rumors floating about the internet that Amazon has not one new Kindle Fire in the works, but two. A 7 inch model and a 9 inch one. If one or both are already in the pipeline, we may see a new Fire become available to consumers before the end of this year – perhaps in time for the 1st year anniversary of the original.

We’ll continue to follow this story and provide updates as more details come in.
